Overlake is committed to the health and safety of our patients, visitors and staff. To provide the safest and most comfortable environment possible, we offer the requirements and recommendations listed below. Thank you for your help in keeping all Overlake patients, visitors and staff safe.

Please note: Overlake Medical Center & Clinics prohibits the carrying of any firearm or weapon on the hospital and clinics’ premises.

VISITING HOURS: 7 a.m.–9 p.m. daily for hospital inpatients. | Emergency Department and Childbirth Center: 24/7.

VISITOR GUIDELINES
Most hospital inpatients and surgical services patients may have up to two visitors. Children/minors under 16 years of age may visit if accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times

Overlake Childbirth Center

• Up to four visitors are welcome, which include up to two children with adult supervision.
• One overnight visitor – please coordinate with the care team.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

• Two banded visitors may visit 24/7 (age 16 or older).
• Additional visitors (non-banded) are allowed and must visit with a banded visitor. Maximum of three visitors at bedside.
• Non-banded visitors may only visit during Overlake visiting hours of 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
• Visitors under 16 years of age must be from the same household and accompanied/supervised by an adult.

End-of-Life and Comfort Care

Check with unit leadership on the number of loved ones/visitors allowed for patients who are at the end of life or receiving comfort care.

Individuals with Disabilities

Individuals with disabilities may continue to request reasonable accommodation and modifications of policies, procedures and practices under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act.

Overlake Clinics

Overlake Clinics patients may have one adult accompany them. Face masks are optional, but encouraged, in exam rooms. Follow staff instructions. In addition:

• Postpartum patients may bring their newborns.
• Patients may bring their children, if they have no alternative; however, some clinics have small waiting rooms and may request that children not accompany your visit.

MASKS OPTIONAL
Masks are now optional, but encouraged, for most areas of the hospital campus and clinics, unless a staff member requests you wear one.

If you are a visitor and have a cold, fever or flu-like symptoms, please visit when you are feeling better. Visitors who are within 10 days of a positive COVID-19 test may not visit, even if asymptomatic.

Patients who are here to receive care must wear a mask if you have any of these symptoms: ​​​​​

• Fever or chills.
• Cough.
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
• Fatigue.
• Muscle or body aches.
• Headache.
• New loss of taste or smell.
• Sore throat.
• Congestion or runny nose.
• Nausea or vomiting.
• Diarrhea.
• Are within 10 days of a positive COVID-19 test (even if asymptomatic).
