At Night Vision Guys we are all about making it easier for our valued customers to make accurate decisions when purchasing their equipment. This is very important to us because it is rudimentary to true satisfaction. We make sure that our customers buy the exact scope they need and not the most expensive scope they can afford. To help in this process we are creating a series of pages dedicated to some key product lines. This page is all about Armasight Zeus.
Armasight Zeus was introduced in the USA in late 2013. At the time it was still very common to pay close to $20,000 for a high end thermal scope. Armasight Zeus quickly changed that pattern. The few models which were introduced ranged between $5K and $9K and offered features previously unseen in consumer thermal riflescopes. Multiple color modes, large optical magnification and well designed digital zoom where just basics. Another game changer was the video output capability offered on all Zeus models.
So how did Armasight manage to do what no other company was able to? The answer is simple, they picked the best ingredients and correctly assumed that consumers will appreciate a well built inexpensive scope and will provide for a higher volume of sales. That's why Armasight Zeus was always equipped with the latest generation of FLIR Tau and later Tau 2 thermal cores.
Let's fast-forward to today. Armasight Zeus remain the powerhouse of the thermal riflescope space and Armasight's thermal imaging product line. With addition of Zeus-Pro Armasight has also entered the tactical market. Many SWAT teams around the United States rely on Armasight Zeus thermal scopes when a good optic can be the difference between life and death. Zeus-Pro also offers some cool features which make it a favorite with hunters as well. This includes the ability to connect with a mobile device and take advanatage of great mobility features offered by Armasight mobile apps.
In terms of extending the thermal scope capabilities, Armasight offers several accessories not available from any other manufacturer. These include:
Here are some of the key features of the current Armasight Zeus models:
In 2016 FLIR Inc acquired Armasight Inc which served as yet another recognition of the quality of thermal equipment built by Armasight. For the past 2 year FLIR had a competing line of Riflescopes called the RS series. It quickly became clear that RS scopes could not match up to the value and quality of Armasight Zeus. That's why FLIR decided to acquire Armasight. This acquisition is a great piece of news for the consumers. With access to FLIR engineers and preferred pricing on the components, Armasight will be able to produce better equipment at lower prices. This is clearly reflected in the current Armasight Zeus line-up.
